Nuestra iglesia tuvo un reciente servicio dirigido por el grupo de jóvenes Jehová-nisi – bajo un tema llamado “Vino Nuevo”. Este tema fue en parte motivado por Marcos 2:22:
(RV ’60) “Y nadie echa vino nuevo en odres viejos; de otra manera, el vino nuevo rompe los odres, y el vino se derrama, y los odres se pierden; pero el vino nuevo en odres nuevos se ha de echar.”
Al leer este versículo, pensé en el tiempo cuando entregué mi vida por completo al Señor y cómo sentí que nací de nuevo. También entendí en aquel tiempo que era necesario cambiar mi forma de vivir (llenar un odre nuevo) mientras dejaba aquellas cosas que una vez me ataban.
Me interesa saber cómo distintas personas interpretan el tema del vino nuevo.

The youth group of our church, Jehovahnissi, recently led a youth service under the theme “New Wine”. This theme was motivated in part by Mark 2:22:
(KJ) “And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.”
While reading this verse, I couldn’t help but think about the time when I gave my life completely to the Lord and how I felt as if I was reborn. I also understood that it was necessary to change my way of life (fill a new bottle) while leaving the things that used to bind me.
I’m interested in hearing how different people interpret the theme about “new wine”.

In Webster’s dictionary, “praise” is defined as “to glorify (a god or saint) especially by the attribution of perfections”. Is this a good definition of what it is to praise? What do you think it is to praise? Tell us how you do it. What you feel when you praise God. What is your objective when you praise God?
Entre las personas que participan en los servicios de las iglesias, es natural ver personas que no han entregado su vida a Cristo. Entre aquellas personas, vemos individuos que visitan la iglesia en varias ocasiones. A veces piden la oración por alguna necesidad (p. ej. sanidad, fortaleza), pero cuando les preguntan si quisieran entregar su vida a Cristo, dicen que “no“. A qué se debe esto? Por qué piensas que estas personas visitan tanto la iglesia, pero no quieren entregar su vida al Señor?
Among the people that participate in the services of the churches, we naturally see persons that have not given their lives to Christ. Some of these people may visit the church many times and even ask for someone to pray for a necessity that they have (i.e. healing, strength). But when the opportunity comes up to accept the Lord, the answer is “no“. Why would this happen? In your opinion, what happens with people who often visit the church, but do not want to accept the Lord?

Why do you think that the Christian youth feels embarrassed to let their peers know that they are Christian? Is there anything you would recommend so that today’s Christian youth may feel confident when they let their friends know about their faith?
A veces cuando nos sentimos contentos, nos llega una alabanza a la mente. De igual manera, nos recordamos de otro en la tristeza. Qué canción cristiano te llega a la mente cuando sueles cantar en la alegría o en la tristeza?

Muchos de los que nos gusta leer la biblia, tenemos una historia en particular donde nos podemos identificar. Hoy quizás te sientas más identificado con la historia de José hijo de Jacob, por algo que te ocurrió con tu familia o en tu trabajo. Pero quizás el año pasado te identificabas con la historia de Daniel porque te mantuviste fiel aún cuando caíste en una fosa de leones (Daniel 6:16).

Many of us like to read the bible. We may have a story in which we currently identify ourselves. Today you may feel more identified with the story of Joseph, the son of Jacob because of something that may have happened with your family or at work. And maybe last year you felt more identified with the story of Daniel because you were faithful even when you were casted into the den of lions.
Tell us which story would you identify yourself with at this time in your life and why? If you can’t name one you identify with, then share with us the story of the bible you currently like the best and why?
